Rex W. Tillerson

Rex W. Tillerson is the chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil. He joined Exxon in 1975 and assumed his current position in 2006. Tillerson also serves as a committee member of the American Petroleum Institute and as a trustee of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

One policy option that is intended to reduce emissions and that has received much attention is the cap-and-trade system. But before we rush to enact something like it, we must ask whether it can best achieve our shared goal of actually reducing greenhouse-gas emissions.
